Includes correspondence (1858-1892) between Isaac Arnold and his son, Isaac Arnold, Jr., relating to the latter's education at West Point, service during the Civil War when he was wounded at the Battle of Chancellorsville, and later military career with the Ordnance Corps; materials concerning Samuel Arnold's activities as state legislator and U.S. representative; and some papers of Isaac Arnold's daughter, Sabra (Arnold) Ingersoll.
